Hi,
I recently installed Windows Vista on my laptop and having difficulty removing Symantec (Norton) software from my computer. It noted that compatibility issues for Symantec products during installation but no mention of not being able to delete the software afterwards in Vista. Each time I go to the Control Panel and then the Installed Programs and try to remove Norton the setup always fails to initialize and thus wont initiate the uninstall for the program. Is there a viable alternative to this other than just going through my program files and deleting the program files and leaving it at that?
Thanks for your time and consideration.

Compatibility issues, cannot delete Program using convention
For those of you having trouble uninstalling Norton here is a link that will help. I should let you know that the first two downloads don't really do anything, in fact with the second file you download you will receive an error message. The third file however, deletes norton from the registry. And we all know no registry info. no program. Once its removed from the registry you can install PC-cillin or whatever internet security program that is available for Vista. Good Luck:)
